Pcm issue after engine swap
I have a 1998 GC Laredo with the 4.0L. Engine blew, only donor I could find was a '97. After installing the new motor, I can't get it to fire. Have read that pcm's can be an issue, so I grabbed one from the local salvage; only one I could find was a '95. Doesn't run quite right, but at least she fires up now, so pcm diagnosis was correct. So my question is: because of the engine swap, do I need a pcm from a 97 or a 98? Or are they interchangeable? Thanks!
