That's the "Jeep Thing". We don't give up on them until we're broke, and even then not so much! LOL!

misskiteez, Take apart the fuel pump connector and check the ground pin for actually grounding. It's the one on the bottom left, holding the connector with the locking tab up. This is the body harness connector I'm talking about. You may have a break in the wire somewhere.
Dave....
How exactly would i test the ground pin for grounding?

After looking at your previous thread I would test the cam position sensor and crank position sensor. The random no starts leads me to believe that is your problem. If one checks out bad ,my suggestion replace both with sensors from the dealership not O'Reilly or Napa ect....

You can use a test light if you connect one lead to power, or use a multimeter by checking continuity between that pin and the body.
Christine, huh? Anything like the Plymouth in the Spielburg movie of the same name?

Wjlizard i have replaced my crank position sensor. The random no starts have stopped... But the problem I'm having is the fuel pump not getting any power. I have no test light either.
Thanks for responding. Any and all help is appreciated!

Last January i changed my radiator and top and bottom hoses and i left off the fan cover.
The next day i saw a lady that needed help at the store and i offered to jump her off. Her husband was jumping the gun a little and wasn't paying attention. After i gave him several warnings to "WATCH THE FAN, DUDE!" He stuck his fingers in her way and tink tink tink....cut him up!! Her first blood! She doesn't like anyone but me to work on her. If i let someone else she won't crank or acts up in another way. The Engine will rev itself if i am near another jeep. I just tell her she is prettier!!!

Personally I would splice a ground to the wires coming out of the tank and ground that somewhere then run a hot wire from the battery and see if the pump kicks on. If not, you may have gotten a faulty pump. Sometimes you can buy a bad part brand new from an auto parts store

Can I check for ground and power to my fuel pump with an ohmmeter? I have one, just not very confident using it...

I checked rockauto.com (thanks for the link, cheapest i have found!)
I have to buy a whole assembly which is a bit pricier but worth it still at the price they list. I lost the spring inside original fuel pump assembly and cannot locate it.
Bosch is the oem for my Jeep
Tinkering with this ohmmeter now.....
