I had my rear axle shaft bearings and seals replaced 2 months ago. Well, the rear driver side now has a serious leak; gear oil is everywhere. Hadn't pulled it yet, but stopped at a shop and the mechanic thinks its is the opening/entry of axle shaft housing is cracked or chipped where the bearing/bearing races sits. Shop was full of cars and its a holiday weekend so they weren't able to take apart and check. Any suggestions apart from getting another rear axle assembly if the opening is chipped cracked. Its a Dana 44 w/ varilok
