Quadra Trac & Mopar
My '95 5.2 ZJ has a Quadra trac 4WD system. Is it QT-1 or QT-2? Does it have a viscous coupling? If it does, how do you know if it's working or not?
While it was in park and obviously stationary, I tried to shift the QT from neutral back to " 4 All the Time". All I got was the worst gear gnashing I've heard in ages. Sounded like my '60 Ford when you tried to put it into 1st while it was still rolling.
What's the difference between PRNDL neutral and QT neutral? When would (or should) I use one instead of the other?
The 5.2 engine is a cast iron Mopar 318. Are all of the peripherals like the ECM and the sensors and the ignition system all Mopar? Is it OBD-1 or OBD-2?
Sorry if some of these questions are simple, but an inquiring mind needs to know
Thank you,
Joe

Read your owners manual it will tell you how to shift your case properly. Most of the electrics are molar with some denso mixed in there. ( to shift into low should be something like this. Prndl in n rolling under 5 mph and shift quickly from 4 all time to low)
