Quadratec transfer case
Anybody have any suggestions and/or price ranges for dropping the awd transfer case in a ZJ and putting in a 2wd optional T-case?

IDK what year or engine you have, but your 2 options are the NP242 or the NP231. The swaps get involved because there are several different input shafts and gear cuts in different years, plus different driveshaft types. You'll have to do a search of previous posts to get all the info. It's here, you just have to find it.
As far as I know, the 242 is found mostly in 4.0 ZJs and the 231 in XJs. Don't quote me on that because that's only what I've seen.
The 242 gives you 2WD, 4WD part time, 4WD full time and 4WD low which is part time. Full time allows you to run on dry pavement.
The 231 gives you 2WD, 4WD part time and 4WD low, again part time. In both there is a neutral position before low range.
My WJ and my ZJ have (had) the 242 and I find the 4 full time nice when the roads are bare with patches of wind-blown snow. Of course part time gets me thru the big drifts.
Prices IDK but they can't be much at Pick&Pull. Then you'd have the donor vehicle for shifters and driveshafts.

I just read thru your posted link to the jeep forum. That is the most extensive write-up I've ever seen on this swap. It covers all the differences and problems, even the shifter!
