Which Rear Main Seal????
Hello fellow Jeep owners. I'm new to the forums so I apologize in advance if my question has been addressed, but I could not locate a specific answer during my search. I have a 2003 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L 4x4. I have a leaking rear main seal that I need to change, but have no idea which seal I need. As far as I can tell there are about 3 different options to choose from for my year and model Jeep. A standard one piece seal, a two piece circular seal and a two piece circular seal with "ears". Is there a VIN letter or number or anything on the vehicle that discerns which one I need or is it just a matter of taking it apart to see? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.
When I examine your vehicle / engine on RockAuto.com all the rear main seal options look like this one from Fel-Pro.
The front seal is a one-piece part.
