Unless TREADWRIGHT or any other retread company is offering that replacement, it's irrelevant. I want to know if they will buckle under the same pressure that weighs upon the toyo's and bf goodrich tires that I own. If they could, I would have no problem saving $20 a tire.

also, youd be saving more than $20 a tire

The 35in "guard dog" is only $152/tire. That same size tire for ATs on Tirerack are $208 each. The goodyear wrangler (that this tread mimics) is $212/tire on tirerack, or $311 on 4wp. That's about $60/tire. Multiply that by 5. That's $300. The 33s are 125/tire on treadwright, $205/tire on tirerack. You save now $80/tire.

I called them and asked about it a while ago. They told me that they have many customers air down with no issues. Think about it though, they put a new tread on an old casting. When the tire is allowed to flex more(through airing down) the new tread has more of a chance to separate itself from the casting. Its just them covering there a ss. Understandable IMO.
I run around 18psi on the trail FWIW.

Has anyone enquired about the void of warranty over deflating their tires?
That really makes me wonder about the reliability of the retread when pushing them. I drive my rigs hard. I turn bumps into jumps and drive through rivers that I really shouldn't, and we all know that doing so means serious beatings given to the rubber wrapped over the wheels. When you've got the pedal to the floor, all you have as a buffer is your rubber. CAN THEY REALLY STAND UP TO A NEW TIRE?

basically I was able to outfit both of my rigs for what it would have cost me to get brand new 35's for my truck

Probably not. But does anyone expect them to? This is a budget option which often does not mean the best option. If you want to drive like you are in KOH race don't get retreads. That being said I have beat the **** out of these tires in rocks, jumping it, smashing them on logs/stumps, and many other wheeling situations without being disappointed.

i'll pass and as for the savings of a couple hundred bucks. I'll kick down the rest for schwab. They have never done me wrong except when they failed to tell me that toyo proxes t1r's have no warranty. That pissed me off when i returned less than 3 months later with my e55 feeling like it was going to fall apart! Apparently 391ft lbs of torque = 6 weeks of fun on great tires in an amg ha ha.
