Nah. Truth is I'm the gofer as in go for this, go for that. Good thing my daddy thought it important that girls should know the difference between a screwdriver and a wrench.👍
so we are at a point where he can't get the darn old sensor out. Any suggestions?

You can't get to it, or you can't get the bolt out? or what? Spray some PB blaster on it then get a screwdriver on it and tap the end of it with something to break it loose.

Yes, the old sensor is out! Should it have oil all over it?

Oil from the engine? Again not familiar with that particular engine, but I think not!

Ok. New cam shaft, crank shaft sensors in. New manifold and whatever else mechanics fixed. It starts, sounds good until it skips a beat in idle. When u put it in gear, it stalls. Any idea what is wrong. Maybe the master sensor? Or whatever it's called.

Put it in gear and it stalls, huh. Hm. Well check for codes and check over the whole engine real good, sometimes wires get disconnected, hoses, etc. Spark plugs wet? What was up with the oil on the crank sensor?
How is the fuel pressure?

My mechanic says Just Everyone Else's Parts! IDK what he's implying with that.

Replaced crank and cam shaft sensors. Still no good. Changed spark plugs and did compression test. Good. Jeep barely made it to dealership who after a day said it was the (both) sensors we had replaced....we got em at Napa, they said it's because they weren't Mopar. Still at dealers. No communication from them yet after 2 full days.
Send good vibes!

Ask them how do they know it is the sensors. Those non-Mopar sensors are horrible for using in these Jeep engines. There is a very good chance they may be correct.

Other than seeing and taking notice that these sensors are not Mopar branded sensors. I wonder how do they know? And is it really both of them though?

Either way, getting those two sensors changed over to Mopar branded sensors is a great idea in my opinion.

They might be right. We would have told you only Mopar on those critical sensors.

Welll, since my last post dealership still has my Jeep. I'm thinking they don't know what's wrong with it. Engine runs great at high rpm's but will stall. Electrical is good. They were going to try a new ECU if they had one from another older Jeep. Mine's a 2004. So far, nothing back from them.
