Default Shakes at idle, rpm's fine

Just bought an '06 Laredo 173k miles. Noticed it shakes side to side at idle. Dealer said the plugs and coils have just been replaced. Check Engine light is on (wasn't at first), rpm's are steady and not rough at all, no noises or humming, no problem accelerating. Shakes in park as well as every other gear. No noticeable difference when changing gears and applying torque so I don't think it's the motor mounts.Shaking goes away completely when I'm 20+mph. Any idea what's causing this before I go buy ten different parts?

This is the XJ forum. Yours is a WK. We have a seperate forum for those. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f5/ . A moderator may move this for you. Or you can ask them to do it. It happens, so dont sweat it too much.

You said the CEL is on. That means there is a code. You need to find out what that code is. Do not fire the parts cannon at it until you find the code.

Sounds like it’s misfiring, or not getting spark to me. It’s definitely possible for you to not notice if one of the cylinders isn’t firing. I’d start by checking your plugs and wires to see if you’re getting spark.

Head Gasket blown between 2 cylinders, not coolant path. My did the same thing on a 4.0.

Constantly asked question; what engine? Obviously not a 4.0L. What trouble codes do you have?
