Slamming It NOT Lifting it
OK please don't Fry me I'm new with an odd request for info.
I have a standard 1998 Grand Cherokee 4x4 here in the UK.
Loads of you talk about lifting the beast but what about Lowering it!!!!
Dose any of you have any info re this?
Has it been done, if yes whats involved?
This is my Daily Drive and is not used off Road.
Its just a great wagon, really comfortable and needs a sloght mod.
Thanks in advance.

Is it 4x4? Would be easier to lower it if it was 2wd so you dont have worry about the front diff hitting the oil pan. Id figure some air bags to replace the coils would be what you want. You just have to figure out how low you can go before clearance issue.
How low do you want to go? lay rocker on the ground?

You may even want to look into converting it to 2wd so you don't have to worry about a crossmember holding the tcase and then get an new axle like They said above depending on how low you want to go.

Its a zj guys. That and its his ride to do with what he wants. I agree with you and don't think he should. But its his decision.
I think It might be easier for you to sell tour current rude and get a 2wd version if.you want to slam a Jeep. It'll help get rid of.some ofntge things that'll get in your way.

To lower your ZJ its as simple as ordering the Eibach 2832.540 spring kit or the HR-52108 spring kit from H and R. Eibach will give you about 1-1.5" drop from the factory height and the H & R kit will give you about 2" drop. Looks rather good when sitting on some Cobra Replica 17s IMO.
