So my '04 4.7 V8 smokes, blueish in color. I'm pretty sure it's oil but my oil level isn't dropping. It does get dirty quickly and ALL spark plugs on the left/Drivers side seem to be oil fowled, right side plugs are clean.
The question, is it a head gasket or something more sinister. If it is head gasket, is it a PIA to replace with the engine in place? Do I have to take ALL timing chains off or can I get by with just the left side?
I'm just a basic shade tree mechanic, nothing fancy basic maintenance and a couple of engine swaps '99 Camry and a '00 Pontiac Grand AM and maybe a '00 Honda Civic.
