Back to the speedometer problem. I found my wiring was faulty and corrected it. Now what I'm faced with is this.
1) start the truck and the needle goes to 30 when it should be on zero.
2) move the truck and it reads from 30 MPH.

2) move the truck and it reads from 30 MPH Upwards. So to find out how fast I'm going I have to subtract30.
How can I fix this? Is there a way to rest the gauge or do I just replace it?

I haven't checked the instrument panel connection yet. I inherited this thing with no sensor in it and have no idea what's been done to it in the past. The book isn't doing me much good. I had to pull the housing to see what numbers were on the gear. The numbers on the sprocket don't match anything on the side of the sensor. I'm going to pull it apart again and write all the numbers down so I can post them and see if someone can figure out what numbers to set it to.
