Is the splash shield behind your door panel shot ?
Three of mine are, including the rear hatch. I went to Lowe's today to see if they had anything that might possibly work, and found a roll of shower pan liner. It looks identical except it's gray and not black. It's thin and can be easily cut to shape. Picked up some flexible adhesive to apply it. When I install my new speakers I'll see how it goes and post some pics if it works.
Did the front passenger side today but this time I used 1/4" two sided molding tape. Much easier than flexible adhesive. Installed a new speaker and a power,heated, memory mirror I picked up at You Pull It. Came out great IMO.
