Sway bar link end question
Long story short I have a 97 JGC with a 4.0 and a 2" budget boost only in the front. (Got lazy and never installed the back. Plus it pushes it slightly over being balanced.) So after that I had work done on the front end by a trustworthy mechanic and they replaced the sway bar ends as well as some other stuff (it's shiny under there... For now!) Well I was replacing brakes the other day and I noticed some separation that was in there before. Just a general question on how and if it needs to be fixed.
The driver side one feels normal.
The passenger one looks like this :/

just try to tighten that nut down a little more.
it is possible the ball popped out of the end link and will just spin when you try to turn that nut.
if that's the case, time for warranty replacement. lol.

Yeah they were a family friend and a trusted mechanic. I mostly do all the work but didn't have time and couldn't diagnose the original problem so they replaced a lot up there for basically free. The problem is I moved about 2 hours away and now live in an apartment. No room to really work on the old girl.

all you need is a wrench. you can reach it by squatting beside the front tire.
if that doesn't fix it, then you may need to replace that end link. they're not expensive and very easy to replace with that wrench and parked in your parking spot without even taking the tire off.
