Tires and Springs
So I have looked all over the internet and in this forum and find different answers. I know its not that simple but ill give it a shot. I have a stock 96 zj 5.2L, not that engine matters for this. I need tires. I want the widest tires I can fit on a stock ride, I do light off road and beach stuff. I dont know if I have spring sag but I want stiffer springs anyway.
So first, will stiffer springs help out in handling? I bet it will be more bouncy, maybe to much? Ironman 4x4 has rear springs rated for 0-660lbs and Old Man Emu has some 220lbs for the front. Will this be a crappy ride? Will this eliminate spring sag for tires?
What are th ewidest tires I can fit and will wheel spacers help with rubbing if any? Any advice would help. Thanks!

Stiff springs will give you better handling but a also a stiffer ride. Tire size depends on how much you are willing to trim the fenders if any. Wheel spacers may or may not be needed depending on the offset of the wheels you use.

My personal opinion is you can go with 235/75R15s on stock rims without rubbing anything, but that's about the max without mods. I put that size tires on 8" Black Rock wheels with a 5" backspacing on my 2000 XJ and they stick out about 1" from the body without the flares (cause mine are rotted away!).
