towing sandrail with 96 cherokee? no tow package! can i do it?
alright so i installed a class 3 reese hitch on my 1996 cherokee 2wd! when doing so, i noticed the frame doesnt look very beefy at all!!!! now im not sure about towing a sandrail on the back of it!
my question is: is there a difference between the frames on a cherokee that comes from factory with a tow package? should i be concerned? i guess i could try to tow a brick wall till the right tire spins and see if the frame bends! but i think i'd rather hear from a couple of you guys!
oh and what to do about the lights? im looking to buy a rail/trailer combo and not sure if theres just a universal adapter i can hook inline with my brake lights? or if i should find out what kind of adapter the guys using?

now how would i hook up the brakes on the trailer to the jeep?
if i had a bigger vehicle i would use the bigger vehicle! but for now im going to try to make due with what i have, i dont plan on taking her too far!

The other difference is we have the optional V8!
How heavy is the trailer and sandrail combo?

im really not sure yet, i want something thats lightweight being that ive got the cherokee to tow with, itll be a vw based 2 seater, ive seen trailers where the back wheels of the rail are either just above or behind the axle of the trailer and then just has a pole coming out the front to attach to the hitch. i guess it might be called a t trailer. nothing holds up the front wheels except the bar that attaches to the hitch, it looks like a sweet lightweight setup but seems like it would put too much weight at the hitch? anyone have any experience with this type ot trailer? am i right about where the weight ends up?
