Transfer case problem
I did a overhaul for my TC 249. And today i cant screw it on the trans. it is a gap from about 10 mm between the cases. After some measurements and tries it looks like the shafts does not fit.
The output shaft from the Trans is 11 mm out of the case flange.
And the input shaft is about 35 mm out of the case flange and has a 35 mm internal gear.
that meand the output shaft is touching the closed needle bearing in the input shaft of the TC before the cases are together.
What can be wrong?
The case was in the jeep. no parts like the input shaft are changed, only bearings and seals and the VC.
The input shaft is fixes with the retaining ring.
comes the output shaft from the Trans out???
