transmission going out
So yesterday I shifted my GC into reverse while still slowing moving forward and it was like I put it in park. I messed with it a little bit going from drive to reverse and then everything was fine. Now when I shift to reverse it lunges forward then locks up, when I shift to drive it starts in second gear and somethings seems to be binding. What could cause this?

There is a one way clutch in the transmission, also called a sprag, but Chrysler transmissions are prone to breaking that sprag if rocked by going from reverse to drive or reverse to drive while still moving. Never rock a Chrysler product in snow or mud if your stuck.

A complete teardown of the transmission is required to fix it, but there is an updated sprag available that is stronger. You'll have to shop around for the cost.
