You think the amp is dead? Hmm.. probably. The car salesman said it works great. So maybe it worked for him then died. But then again, he also said the tires were new but started to feather, lol.

I just got back from a long day at the DMV and Sears/AutoZone. Got a new Craftsman hydraulic jack, drip pan, 10w30 Carquest non-synthetic oil (guy at shop said sythentic oil won't matter with 140K miles), and a new fuel filter.

I will first thing tomorrow attempt to fix the sound system. Again, thanks for the illustration and information. I hope to god the amp/speakers aren't blown out or anything. If I find out they are, I'm going to be pissed and probably cuss out the salesman.

Most dealers do that. They just try to smooth the deal. Most likely the amp is fried or wired wrong. Another thing you can do is buy a new amp. They are very easy to install and you can get a cheap one for 100 or 56 dollars at walmart.

Don't laugh as I am 16 only but to install an amp I just watched this dude from Youtube. He actually helped me out.
