How come the volume controls just randomly quit working and at the same time it says my phone is connected but it’s not actually connected... when it does this I can’t turn it off... I have to stop, turn the engine off and open the door. That will turn it off and will also get the phone to reconnect. But I’m order to fix the volume controls I have to unhook the battery...

my 2016 dart does something similar...

Probably needs a software update. You need a dealer for that. Its not just a Jeep thing. Ram owners run into the same problems with Uconnect. Its buggy and can fail without warning one day, then work work the next day. Even after an update, what worked before stops working after.
