Vibration
Hi
I own a Grand Cherokee 2004MY 2.7 Diesel auto. The car has covered 124,000 miles and runs fine. It suffers from a vibration/harshness more so when cold. It feels as if the engine is sitting on the chassis but this is not the case? Any ideas guys

Welcome to CF!
Check your motor mounts for torn rubber as well as the transmission mount. It's quite possible it IS sitting on the frame! Or at least transmitting vibrations to it.

Have someone hold the brake and shift between Reverse neutral and drive, while you watch the mounts with a flashlight. you should be able to see them move/contact the frame if theyre bad.
They are designed to move a little, but it should be clear if theres too much
