VIN location- 2004 Grand Cherokee WJ 2,7CRD
Gents, Tnx for the fine forum.
My Jeep failed MOT due to the tech could not find the Stamped VIN number on the frame. ( EU regulations).
Anyone know where the stamped VIN is located.
This is a Austrian build Vehicle for EU marked.
Have looked all over engine bay without luck. ( no the plastic one on the dash) ,

Okay, the Vehicle Safety Certification Label is attached to the driver's door edge surface and the Body Code Plate is attached to the top of the right frame rail in the engine compartment. This info comes right from the Full Service Manual and doesn't list any different identifiers anywhere on the vehicle except the VIN plate on top of the dash. One of the codes on the Body Code Plate specifies Domestic or Export.
