My ZJ now has the 242 in it. Now the tough part is getting the linkage right so that it goes into all gears.

The shop that did the work got the 242. I really do not know anything other than it only had around 80k on it. The guy they got it from had all the info on which years and models work best.
A for parts, nothing was changed, but he did have to slightly modify my drive shaft. The main issue now is getting the linkage adjusted right so that hit all the gears.

The 4.0l i6 in the 99+ ZJ's are definitely underpowered, the 93-98's can handle having the 4.0l i6 in them. I have a 95 ZJ Limited with 250,000+ and the 46RH trans and i have had no problems with it.

I picked up my 94 cheap do to a bad fuel pump. Showed 143k on the odo. Been using it hard as an off road toy with no problems that weren't self inflicted.

The more I thought about that 93, the more I wanted it., I need to see about selling mine first... If it is meant to be, it will happen. If not, then I start saving and hopefully, get a job soon to start upgrading!
