OK, so i have my first wheel off, the bleeder open, with the line running over the bleeder and into the fluid. But when i try to depress the brake pedal, it barely moves. I tried it 15-20 times, no change. So i removed the caps off the reservoir and tried again, no change.
Ok so i figure there must be air in the MS, because i don't really see a wrong way to install it. So I have no clue where to go from here. God i hate brakes

same issue once
my problem was the break booster, it had a vacume leak on the bottom seal where the pedal connects. I experienced the sponginess and lack of hold and grunging noise just like you say you are. and the vacume leak was not noticable as far as hearing it either. ya may want to check that.

Doesn't seem like it would be bad since there were no booster issues prior to removing the master cylinder

busted back right, if there is no power assist, and the booster vaccume line is hooked up, u have a bad booster. Alot of times fluid can leak from the master cyl into booster, the brake fluid will eat those seals out quicker then u can... erm.... pee.

I Believe you and hello everyone. I know I am new here and this is my first post. I have seen the photo of your jeep so I am assuming you have the bleeder turned out a couple turns? Did you check the container you are using to catch the fluid to see if any has gone in? If not the reason your pedal may still not go down is your bleeder screws may be rusted up and plugged. I am originally from Vermont and see this a lot. If they are clean them out and re-attach the hose and try again. A paperclip works good lol. Keep me informed and I will do what I can to try and help but take a good look at you bleeders and let me know.

The bleeders are all able to gravity bleed just fine, it's air in the MS. In about 20 minutes I'll be out there proving it's not a faulty booster. Just no way it can be.

I found the problem. See you guys couldn't help me because you assume i'm intelligent, when in reality i'm incompetent and did not line up the pedal rod with the master cylinder when i installed it.
Working like a charm, and that bleeder/bottle idea is genius. I love this place.
Thanks!
