Update: It's been 1 week since I replaced the PCM in my ZJ. It has not sputtered or stalled since. It seems that the problem has been fixed. Another post coming soon about another problem. Stay tuned.

Mine is fine as well. It will be interesting to see how they work in the long term. Mine was from MOPAR. Yours Flagship 1. The one I took out of my car was from All Computer and lasted only a year. So keep in touch and I will too. I spent MAJOR bucks on mine just to get some sense of security. I am wondering if it pays off. I don't want to get jaded about these vehicles. I am thinking I'd like another one, but not if it is gonna need a $700 PCM transplant every few years. The good thing is we are back to liking and enjoying our Jeep again.

I was liking and enjoying my Jeep again until yesterday. Now I have another problem. When I drive with the AC, it runs fine. But when I turn the motor off when I go into a store or something, when I come out and try to start the engine, sometimes it starts and runs really rough, but smooths out after driving a few blocks. Starting yesterday, when I come out from letting it sit for a little while, I have a hard time starting the engine. When it finally starts, it runs rough until I drive it a few blocks, then smooths out. My temperature gauge is running at about 210-230 degrees. Coolant reservoir is full. It seems heat related.

I initially thought my issue was heat related also. It wasn't. I hate to go here with you. But, how likely is it that these issues are related to PCM function? I know you just changed it.

It was doing this before I changed the PCM. The only difference now is the occasional difficulty starting.

NM, huh? I'll bet you need to vent some underhood heat. The fuel in the rail is boiling after shutdown and forming bubbles that don't flow right thru the injectors. One guy in Arizona used a hole saw on the hood stiffeners and slotted the back edge rather then put in hood louvers. You can try putting spacers under the hinge bolts to raise the back edge of the hood to see if this helps, then go from there. Raising the back edge is an old drag racing trick to vent heat from the staging lanes.

Well, last night i put the brand new PCM in my jeep, i let it run for about an hour, then drove it around for an hour re creating every situation it has stalled in, and nothing! This thing ran great, the idle is great, no hesitation, upon further inspection, the PCM that was in it was from the junkyard and all of the tabs holding it together were bent to hell, so I'm pretty confident that i solved this mystery

Where did you get the PCM from?
Like I said earlier in this thread. I opted for the dealer because all my research on the ones sold from the place in Florida told me not to go there. In fact the one they took out of my Jeep was from the place in Florida, installed about 1 year ago.

There are two in florida that i found, the one in davie florida is the one that sells crap, they have active cases with the better business, as well as countless complaints, i got mine from a place in Miami after doing a weeks worth of research on them, and the people who gave them good reviews to make sure that they had no other affiliation with them other than a customer level

What's the name of the place? It's been a while, but I got the impression that there was only 1 place in Davie , operating under at least 1 other business name. At least the web sites looked the same. The prices were exactly the same.
What did you decide? Keeping the Jeep or selling it?

I think it's called all computer resources, the one to stay away from is THE COMPUTER EXCHANGE, stay far, far away from them, i know i said that either way i was selling my jeep, but after replacing the ignition coil twice, spark plugs and wires, pick up coil, crankshaft and camshaft position sensors, idle air control sensor, throttle position sensor, distributor cap and rotor, and fuel pump trying to fix this problem, i think I'm going to put a new set of tires on it and enjoy it for a little while longer

Let us know how long it holds up. My internet PCM lasted about a year.

It's been three weeks since i replaced the PCM, i couldn't ask for a better running jeep, even my gas mileage has improved, i filled the tank last Friday, and today when i went to fill up, it barely took $10 to fill it, just over four gallons
