What did I Break? 07 GC
Last weekend while trying to drive through a blizzard I was making a right hand turn with the signal on and the jeep hit a rut in the snow and wanted to swap ends for a second. While correcting I whacked the turn signal stalk. Now if I signal left nothing happens. If I signal right the left indicator comes on in the dash as well as front and rear. Hazzards work. Head and taillights work in on and auto settings. Nothing else seems affected. Would this be the clock springs I read about in a few threads?
Thanks much,
Scott

If you look under your steering column you should see three screws holding the two pieces of the columns covering together. If you take those out and separate to remove the upper and lower covers you can see the multifunction switch. The stalk for the turn signals leads right to it. This is probably what is now broken?
They are expensive.. and sell new for a little more than a hundred bucks. You could probably find the same part at a junkyard for maybe $15 - $20 though.
I am glad it did not turn into a more serious incident for you when that happened while you were driving...
