I guess if you indeed trust them and the total for those repairs does not exceed 200 then why not? I would be sure to bring it up on future visits too.

"oh, you need 350 to do my headgasket? Ok, well remember that time your grease monkey tore the driveshaft out of my truck while beating the snot out of it? How's 150 sound?"

The employee who did the damage to your vehicle should not be in that shop anymore.... The shop's reputation is now at stake after what happened...

As long as you are only paying $200 and they are fixing the rest free of cost I wouldn't have a problem with it!

Pay the $, but I would still talk to an attorney if you are able too. A lot of times a simple little letter from him or her to the person(business) will take care of the problem. They should be held responsible for hiring retards to test drive your rig. I personally would be pissed. I am kinda pissed now and I don't even know you or your jeep. Sorry man.

I hope it all works out for you in the end.

Personally, I wouldn't pay them a freakin penny. They would be eating every bit of the cost to get it back to AT LEAST what it was when I brought it in, PLUS i'd be in a mighty nice rental car while they were working on it. If they refused, it would be straight to court for them.

like many others have mentioned I would not be paying a dime towards this. I understand you and the shop owner are buds and all and ahve been for a long time but dam if that REALLY is the case why would this happen to your vehicle, I am not a huge fan of jeep auto trans and if my grand got rodded like this I would take nothing less than a new transmission and because as far as tehy know it was new when it arrived before some jacka$$ employee of theirs got in and said "f&*% it I ain't got a dime in it" You know they hired him they can clean up his mess. I can't believe your willing to pay $200 ...........some people amaze me

Honestly unless your bud himslef is doing the work I wouldn't let that shop touch your rig again. Last time you took it for a quick fix and you got handed half a drive shaft. Now there going to rebuild your rear axle??? Next time you walk in you might be handed half your ring gear and they don't now what happend to the rest of your axle...

God I hate shops. That guy was obviously throwin ur jeep in park while movin if he broke the pin and also probably doing stalled launches in 4 low. I would be livid. Even if they fix it all, the ware and tear they put on your motor and trans/tc/ axles any driveline components in non reversable. Get a lawyer don let them walk on u.

the problem i would have is what parts are they using, i mean if they broke it i wouldnt pay a penny, BUT if i had to i would want new parts fitting not scrap yard tat that cost them penies.
and i would want a written gaurantee for ALL the work they have done as im sure they could turn round and say the parts fitted [if not new] where not under warranty.

hope it all works out mate, i had a very slight similar problem with some tit stamping on the airbox of my comapny car cause he couldnt get it to close????? a bill for $200 sorted out his impatients

Keep all of your records bills lost wages and everything that relates to this situation including gas ect. wright things down as they happen so that you have a good recalection of the events. Because you still have a great chance at a law suit to recoupe yhe 200 plus lost wages ect....I realize that you know the shop owner but he doesn't value you as a customer if he did he would make things right with you and not charge you a dime and even if he did get rid of the guy that did the damage that does not make you whole and that is a requirement of the law.
