Rear end just got rebuilt, incorrectly, by a "family friend who does this stuff"
Shimmed too tight mabey? Didnt jack it up and check anything, but how would I know?
Its a high pitched drone at 50mph. Rear differential housing is (estimated) to be around 150 degrees (hot enough to touch, but not hold, and saliva wont boil off of it)
He ran it for 10k miles like that... Mabey its just an annoyance issue?
I can talk circles around many, but, I dont like ripping people off... Doesnt sit well with me...
If I buy it for $750, find some used tires (i have 2 good used 235 75 r15 tires), and a rim, mabey It would be worth it to me even if I only got 2 winters out of it, and hauled crap with it when needed...
Actually... Do 15" brushed aluminium 96+Chevy Blazer rims work on a jeep ZJ ?( And is that the right term for this one?)
Is there a decent for sale section anywhere? I'd get a used rim, and used hitch, look for tires and a rear axle... You know...

Yes, '94-'98 Grand Cherokee's are called ZJ's.
Try looking on NAGCA at their For Sale section. http://www.nagca.com/forum/index.php
