Default WJ Cylinder Compression

Hello, I have a 2001 grand cherokee laredo with the 4.7L V8 and I am getting 0 compression in cylinder one.
The spark plug is smashed at the end closing the gap to 0, its like something is hitting it. Also the spark plug has a good amount of oil on the end and the oil in the car seems to be ok as its not cloudy.
What could be causing this to happen?
Thank you for your time

If the piston hit the plug then you've got bigger problems in the spinny-swingy parts!

how can i check the piston/valve and valve seat with the least amount of teardown? I will be taking the cover off of each side to inspect cam shaft and such

With the valve covers and spark plugs removed, observe valve action while turning the crankshaft. After a few revolutions you should be able to detect bad/rocker valve action...
