How many amps is it supposed to be and what is the existing battery rated at.
Why do you think it doesn't have enough power? No crank? No start? Dim lights?

Battery died completely, went to the auto parts shop and the battery they gave was too tall. Was trying to get the battery code so I could get the correct one into it

I BELIEVE it is a group 35, that is what the older grand cherokees are. But most batterys are rated for around the same cca. Battery size shouldnt matter, just about any car battery in the world that u can physically gook up will have the power to start it. One of the lowest powered batterys came in hondas, I believe 390 cca, and it would still be enough to fire any jeep out there.
