ZJ 96 - 2 inch spacers on 4 inch coil springs
So I recently put a 4 inch coil spring kit in my zj Im just wondering if it would work an all if I threw in some 2 inch spacers, and got adjustable sway links, maybe adjustable control arms and longer brake lines if needed, would this all work? and if it would what would I need other than the spacers, like what other mods would I need for it to work? This is on my most pavement princess some off road rig

6" is kinda tall for those short suspension links. The front is the same as our XJs. So the answer is yes you can do it, but the ride will be rough in the bumps on the front end. It would be better if you got some adjustable lowers to move the axles a little more to center. Yes you can do it I think in the rear too. But again, some longer lower links would be better and the adjustable links would I think get you away from any driveline vibes you might get from a change in pinion angle.

If you don't have adj trackbars yet, you're definitely going to need those.
The real question is, why do you need 6" of lift? I'm at 5.5", and I want to drop mine down a 0.5" or so. What tire size are you trying to run?

Honestly if your going with 33s I wouldnt waste the time with 2 more inches of lift. 4" and 33s is perfect for anything your going to get into. Hell some minor trimming with my 3.5" and I can run my 34" SSW LTBs. I would be in a lot better shape with some adjustable control arms front and rear though! This was a test run and I proved to myself I can fit my 34s. This ZJ is mainly a tar baby as its my DD.
I run 255-70/16 Hankook Dynapro ATm's

I've spent a lot of money getting mine to 5.5" reliably. I still need to address my steering, braking, and within the next year or so, I'll be building my long arms. The control arm angles at 6" are going to lead to a pretty harsh ride, even with the best shocks.
My suggestion, keep it at 4", and when you have a very firm handle on the amount of money that you're going to sink into this then you can go "big boy" from there.

Toss the 33's on it a 4", and get out your sawzall. Cut and roll the fenders. The extra 2" is going to make you more cool at high school or the mall, but it's going to bring the suck if you actually wheel it. 6" of lift and adjustable short arms is going to bring the suck.
