zj third brake light fix.
I as of many of you know of the annoying vic blaring out the Rear Lamp failure, i never could find a writeup that showed me how to fix it so i decided to make one.(please excuse the bad quailty pics and video)
The rear third brake light is made up of three GE 922 bulbs.
the replacements from Advance is- http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...S_659648091___
to get to the back of the light to see which one/ones are bad you have to remove 4 screws and pull back the plastic (i was able to do this without removing the plastic all of the way and only prying it back a bit but took it off all of the way for picture purposes)
(i already removed the bulb on the right)
then you grab the connector and twist to "unlock" it and pull down
then to remove the bulb all you have to do is pull it straight out.
then you put in the new bulbs and reassemble And there you have it, a fully functioning rear light
VIDEO
(i have a lot of trouble getting it to stop filming lol)
NOTE: this is what worked for me and it may not work for you, there can be other problems such as other lights out and bad wiring.

Does anyone know how to do the actual wiring of the third brake light? My 99 classic has a 97 rear hatch on it that has the third brake light on it, but it was never hooked up. SO when I went to get the jeep registered they said the light wasn't working so they replaced the bulb which was burned out but it still didn't work. So Im guessing that whoever put the new back hatch on never hooked up the third light. Any help will be appreciated greatly, Thank you...
