So am I reading this right? it swapped ends and hit a tree backwards, then wheels spinning, took you back up to 60mph while you were unconscious and hit a pole?

Sweet gezus, how are you still alive? I'm surprised it didn't break your neck when you hit that tree backwards; do you have head rests on those seats?

Hi backed buckets and Wesco performance retractible seatbelts-not the stockers thank God. I had just dropped my 4 yr old kid off. The spare that went through the seat would have been a real bad thing.

Here is the thread that shows the scene. I took these the next day

http://torinocobra.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=156

I was spinning when I hit and slipped out of the shoulderbelt and hit my head on the passenger seat. That is what knocked me out for about 2 seconds.

Me at the impound lot

I got $15k from insurance and my lawyer advised me that since no one died not to sue BG. Costs to prove it, repaying the ins and paying the lawyer would have been a sour deal. The lawyer was $250 and I got off with court costs. The cops thought I was racing and it was the day after I turned 40- I forgot my license was expired. Crappy birthday all around.

Sorry for the hijack- On Topic, it really was the best car I ever had or had driven right up until that afternoon.
