I can't believe anyone cares. Deep pockets empty pocket, does it really mater? I'll drive anything, if it's crap I stop driving it. This guy may have spent 50gs on that, but by pay scale if I spend 5gs on mine someones going to think ur crazy.I never did get the " we hate hummers" thing, I'll wheel with anything( my have to help some) but I'll never hate on some one for what they drive or how much they spend on there hobby. Really if money was no object, what would you drive? Everyone likes to say "my good ol Cherokee", but be honest we'd all drive that thing.

ok i have to say props on the work done real impressive
as i read this thread i see alot of BS for and against the hummer for some ok not your taste or mine but good work at any rate
alot of people saying its a waste of money and that where it becomes questionable
will it be used
its built to wheel and very well might get used to wheel but no matter how good the driver theres always that one trail that will leave its mark
would you rather spend 10 bucks fixing a rig worth 2-3k or 5k fixing a rig that probably worth more then my house
all about your personality and bank account i guess
personally i wouldnt spend the money but if it gets used props to the owner
if it becomes a mallcrawler and that ramp it the biggest climb it ever makes the the owner is a jackass no matter how deep his pockets
however thats just my veiw

1. Tradition as the first capable offroad vehicle used by our troops (nothin beats a ******), infact the grill design is of the Hummer is based from a Jeep, so feel proud and flattered that bummer is trying to be like a Jeep, bummer it isn't though.
2. Size, I don't care how well built your vehicle is, if there are 2 boulders 6ft apart and your rig is an 8 ft wide Hummer.....your not going to make it , my small bodied Cherokee will though (with some body damage...but it will make it)
3. Weight, You can have the best tires out there, with bead locks and aired down to 3psi, i don't care what you have, if it's heavy, you can't beat physics , my light Cherokee will though.
i would spend 10k to buy an XJ, and build it better than that, give it to a Veteran, and dontate the other 40k to Veteran's Charity organization....
maybe it's just my opinion......or maybe it's just the practical side of me coming out but i think more would come from that option than doing this.....or hey, build 4 jeeps for 10k each and make 4 Vets happy?
