Classic VW Fanatics Thread
I have been one since i bought my '74 standard beetle back in '06. Even though i haven't gotten to even start my vw's i still enjoy them. I also have a '72 type 3 squareback (vw people will know what it is). I love their simplicity, versatility, ingenuity, and engineering.
I've notice an increasing amount of volks-folks on the forum and thought we should have a thread. This is for vw discussion, show-off your vw, vw tech, vw chat, and basically ANYTHING VW. I'd like to see what you guys own-have owned. Hope this thread becomes popular.

I was bitten by the "bug" back in 1988. My first car was a '74 Super Vert. Attached is the before and after. I still have this car today. I have since lowered it 2" and added a 2275cc stroked monster. My Dad and I stripped the car down to bare metal and re-did it inside and out. The only thing left original in the inside was the dash. I have found a Square Back that is going to me my next project.

Hey... I think that single cab belongs to that tall skinny fella from American Pickers!
Get in line and make sure your wallet is packed tight with huge bills. Those things are as scarce as hens teeth.
Here's my '63 that I've been building over the last 9 or so months:

I didn't know you could get a supercharger for a passat, i could see a turbo but a supercharger is interesting. I like sleepers, jaws probably drop when you blast by.

Neuspeed makes a supercharger kit for the MKIII 2.0l now cmes with everything you need and you send them your ecm and they reflash it i am not quite sure but i think it nets about the same power as a stock vr6...but thats a gorgeous '63 and my other choice for an old bus would be a camper but those are pretty rare from what i have seen

They arent classic in the form of beetle/bus/ghia era, but i loved the 80's VW's, and even the very early 90's.... the A1 and A2 chassis Dubs.
Ill post up some that i have owned... though no where near all of them, I would venture to say there are about 20 others that i dont have pics of online.
1987 16V Scirocco
Same Rocco with an 84 rabbit (carburated) and my 90 cabriolet.
my 81 caddy
Non VW, but a Special Edition Audi Coupe w/ 2.3L (stock 2.2) and all digitial gauges, color matched wheels. This was one of my most comfortable cars ever!
my 89 golf
my 91 jetta, the 89 golf in the background and behind the jetta is my 96 passat VR6
One of my all time favorite pics... at a Scirocco gathering in Cincinnatti
89 GTI 16V, this was the last VW i have owned.
