Getting sick of this jeep
So guys im growing to dislike my jeep. Every week its something different I have poured all my money and time into this thing and its just not worth it. It started off with little things now the problems are getting worse. I cant keep putting all my money into this thing and im only 16 and the jeep isnt dependable. Dont get me wrong I love the thing but i cant see myslef keeping this thing around. What do you guys think?

the junkyard should be your friend in this situation. Most cars need upkeep and unscheduled maintenance after a couple of years usually after their warranty's are up.

Swapping a new motor in these things is so easy. When I bought mine I spun a main bearing and some other internals..Anyways long story short I was scared since only experience I had was old school stuff pre-computer and that was a 72 nova, 76 comaro and a 70's truck..This was just as easy a swap and straight forward as you can get. The hardest part was getting the distributor set right. Mine is going through the same issue but it's a 91 and needs a lot of work but well it's my jeep, my build and my work so it's worth it for me. Although I have my eye on a early 90's wrangler for a possible build with an SBC350.

X 2 on ME being the cause of all the problems I've had with my XJ. Driven on the road and when I can force myself to be moderate offroad the thing is bombproof. Like a couple of Saturdays ago up at Evans Creek in the snow you can ask any of the 7-8 other guys who were there. I had the thing bouncing off the Rev limiter all day because of crappy tires in deep slushy snow. My baby just kept on pulling.

Since I put the 2.5 inch exhaust and Flow Master 40 on my XJ, I don't seem to hear my neighbors gripe anymore.Funny how that happened.

well, my neighbors have literally gone insane. they called the cops twice now for little kids hitting wiffle ***** over their fence. i think the last cop said i have around 50 complaints alone at my house..i know almost all the officers by name. but they need to show up so they dont complain to the city.. every other night when i come home, they will be watching from the upstairs window waiting for me to get home and then stand in the doorway and watch me walk inside. its really creepy
