I really like comanches as trucks, but I don't understand putting the caps on. That's like making it into a XJ.

How does one explain this, seems kind of obvious...trucks are unique for their versatility; its not about the 'looks' of a truck, its about the function. I like to have a vehicle that I can have a truck bed to load my dirt bike or other large things into...cant do that with a cherokee without a trailer or hitch carrier; furthermore if your cherokee has a nice interior perhaps you wont want to load up certain things like greasy axles or leaking transmissions in it...truck weather it has e cap or not its no big deal to clean up afterwords ...if on a road trip or camping the cab of a pickup (especially a single cab comanche) is rather small and its nice to be able to secure your stuff in the bed in a shell, and even sleep in the back of the truck to save on hotels. In the winter where is snows a pickup bed is usually rendered useless unless you keep it shoveled out and it is still exposed to the elements, therefore a shell is nice to keep the snow out and bed still useable for limited tasks. Otherwise yes, I agree they can look a bit goofy and the blindspots associated are terrible but again, its about function not looks.
