Well I dd a 90 MJ SWB. I also have a MJ truggy It all depends on what you want to do. Also aftermarket support has come a long way for these rigs, compared to when I started wheeling them in 04.

Been following this build for months. Very clean and well planned. Shown:here. It has a 99 XJ front clip + interior, stroked 4.7L I6, Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear.

That is a cool build if you can weed threw all the idiots posting just to post.
I currently have 3 Comanches. I DD a '88 2wd 4.0. Have a '87 Chief that needs a tranny and a '89 Pioneer that needs a drivetrain. Just need a place to do the work. The DD. I dont really have any good pics of the 89. The 87 is the red one.

Mine was in far worse shape than yours before I fixed it.
My floors were fine (although they are a problem for most). The biggest problem I found is the rust behind the fender flairs. It is not a problem on the front fenders because front fenders are widely available XJ but the rear is the bed. It is tough finding a bed in good shape.

Awesome.. just rermember to build rock rails for the back of the bed.. or cut the lowers part off. Also Make sure you have a good Gas tank skid. Check out my webshots page.... and you can see what is possible with a MJ.

Dude, you stole my truck. Mine never had the comanche badge on the front fenders and it is an '87.
