2004 F150 with the 5.4L with exhaust and intake. Tows my Jeep just fine to the trails. Love the truck! No trailer yet though.

Man I want a 5.9 ZJ so bad. I'd make it my DD and flat tow the XJ to trails.
If i was going to tow often with the 5.9 I would put airbags in the rear coils. Its got plenty of power, just a short wheelbase and not really meant for much weight. My CJ is very light though, know of a 5.9 for sale now if you're interested.

New tow rig, got this truck for a steal, 6.0 auto, cold ac, i added the hd wheels and tires, yes i know the grill guard is wrong, just havent gotten around to changing it.
Trailer is a big tex 18 foot, bought it for 600$, guy was strapped for cash
What kinda mpg's do you get pulling/empty with the 6.0? I'll probably get a 6.0 or 5.3 as my next truck, mpg is my only concern because I gotta dd it also. I'd kill for a duramax but just can't afford it.

I bought an 09 longbed Dodge CTD last year and only towed the XJ 1x with a rental trailer...lol...even pulling a total of 8k it's still easy to hit the speed limiter ...lol...Truck don't even know that XJ is back there .
