Default 35's on 4.5 lift and stock flares

Ever since Icelander came out with the beserks that will let you run 35's with 4in of lift I've wanted them. I love keeping my xj LCG and after 4.5, lifts get expensive. So my brother wanted to go 35's on his xj but didn't want to put out the $400+ so I cut up into the unibody (like beserks) and just remounted the factory flares. In WV we have to run flares, so leaving them off isn't an option, let me know what you think...In the finished pics it's sitting on a s10 bastard pack and new 35 crushers. In the front is 3in lift springs and 2in spacers.

Here it is next to my waggie with 4.5, regular cut and 33's

love it. i did pretty much the same thing with my factory flares. i now have 33s and i like the look way better than not having flares. also does the s10 pack really net 4.5 with just adding the leaves? im thinking about doing this, as right now i have negative arched stock spring on 3inch blocks in the rear and 3 in coil spacers in the front.. thanks

It very's on the how old/ wore the s10 springs are and if you use 3 or a 4 leaf. I've done 10+ of these bastard pack leafs and 4 1/2 if the average lift I've got.

any pics close up how you mounted the stock flares to the sheet metal? I want to do similar but not as drastic of a cut since I have a snorkel.
