I think that C-channel wouldnt look to bad! best of luck! are you doing the bends in the end to form to the body line better?

Tomorrow i am going to cut 1" out of the backside and then a V in the top and bottom, then heat the crap out of it and bend it together to weld it all up again.

what are you using for frame mounts?

But i like the design, i would put mine closer to the body though. The way mine mounts now it is 2" from the front cross member

my biggest thing to watch out for is weight. I really wanna keep as light as possible(ha! light weight winch bumper...).

ARB winch bumper weighs in at 110 empty, the RockHard4x4 bumper (above picture) weighs in at 75 empty. So considering i started out at 115, and shaved ALOT off i should be pretty close though

I am bringing the house scale tomorrow to weigh it when its all done.

found a piece of steel that i cut off today...

And i can see 75 lbs as reasonable. but again i want to make the 3/8" steel as light as possible.

When do you plan to make your cuts?

hopefully next week. i gotta replace my angle grinder. so when i do i can throw on the cutting wheel and have at it. gonna take a while cause i dont have a torch to cut it, but i dont mind. i hate asking my brothers friend to borrow his tools. heck he gave me the steel and welded it for me for free. so im trying to do as much as i can on my own. not knowing how to weld makes it very hard.

i feel ya there... The only thing i have at home is every mechanical tool and for power tools i have a saw-zaw, a power drill and a grinder.... it sucks having to drive to my friends shop.... After the breaker went off i used an angle grinder to cut one side of the angle. then quickly put it down and waited....

That is pretty awesome you got it all welded for free!
