Alright so today i spent a bit of time welding and grinding, and welding and grinding, and so on... The only thing left to do now is Grind down the welds a little bit to give it a finished look so i can paint it(after i wire wheel it).

I'm all for overkill, but man...holy ****.... if you hit another car with that thing, I think both your jeep and the car might be totaled. The bumper on the other hand will be ready to bolt on to the next XJ.

As far as the winch goes, in my opinion, since you have the capability of cutting that 3/8"s, I would try to set the winch as far in as possible to the grille. When I get a winch, I plan on cutting out a section of my grille to get the winch further back.

Great job so far, and again, holy **** thats gonna be beefy.

here is the 1" ... it'll bug me... haha. and i used a 1 1/4" hitch that is set into the bumper and welded in solid for a tug point =]

also i know there is missing bolts, there is 4 per side now since i will be having to take it back off again so i left it for now

it would bother me to if i knew it were there and it was on mine. as far as the number of bolts holding it on. mine has the three stock bolt locations on each side for now. i have pulled and been pulled out with mine and it hasn't gone anywhere yet, but it has no vert. strength i went to jack up on it and it moved

Are you gonna add sides like on the JCR bumper you posted earlier? I think they add to a nice clean look.

I used to tug on mine all the time, the bumper it self failed and the mounts stayed put(stock ones) i used a high lift on the stock bumper many times.

Are the holes a bit big for the bolts?
