$7 Disconnects
I decided to try the easy disconnect that a lot of guys have been using. I haven't heard bad things so I gave it whirl. In theory this is easy as pie but as always something comes up.
What you need...
2 Tine pins. 7/16th by 2"
2 wire hair pins
Elec. Tape
1. There is a torx bolt and a nut. It is a t55 torx head...i didn't need it because of how tight the bolt was due to rust. take the nut off.
2. Loosen the sway bar mounts...two bolts on each side. This is a good time to replace/check your bushings if you need it. Having the sway bar loose makes it alot easier to remove the links from the bolt. The link slide off..however there is a spacer in there and most of the time it is fixed to the bolt again due to rust. Spray it with some pb blaster then plier or hammer it off. Try to keep its integrity because you will need it later.
3. The stupid bolts are pressed into the mount and rusted most of the time so you will either need a lot of strength behind the hammer and risk bending the mounts or use a c-clamp or pitman arm puller to unpress the bolts. Spray them down with pb blaster and wait a while if you have to...don't break the mounts!
Pain in the but bolts....
I used c-clamp
4. Now that the bolts are gone the rest is easy day. Put two pieces of elctrical tape on the pin...like so...

Continued...
5. Put the pin in the mount and then put the spacer back on....the tape keeps noise down. Some people use 1/2 inch pin instead of 7/16 but you have to grind them down.
6. Put link back on and slide in the lock pin.
7. I had to disconnect the stabilizer in order to get the c clamp on the passenger side. It is easy..two bolts.
Hope this helps someone!

nope...
I drove with them and I was really surprised to not hear anything. I am sure without the tape noise would be an issue. But it is strong and super easy!

i did the same thing on my jeep, but i used a tractor pin instead of a hitch clip, i have no rattleing issues, but i needed a washer to reduce some slop, but since the pin is smaller then the hole there is still a little play, i can feel it when im driving but its not bad at all, deffinately a good cheap mod

I will keep my eye on them but there isnt too much stress put on them unless your wheeling. I will check in a few days and let you know if there are any stress bends.
