my friend does this in his zj, he breaks bungies all the time. you can if you want. i just use a foot and a half of velcro and run it through the "frame", there is a hole right there i run it through and around and stick it to itself. holds it up real nice. the bungie cord works too, i just dont have the money to keep buying bungies. lol

I have addressed this too.
However i am not worried about the bots breaking, Never seen once break EVER but the flared end gets worn away from rubbing on the washer to where you can literally pull the bolt thru the washer (ask me how i know).
I encourage everyone to always check the condition of the bolts frequently.

The washer and "bolt" have enough play that they rub and wear. so over miles of use the "head" on the bolt wears down and so does the washer. After about 2000 miles I was able to pull the washer off the "bolt" where the "head" was.
Sorry i cant think of the correct terms i am having a total brain fart

I installed an eye bolt up through the fender & parallel to the sway bar & out of the way. I use small bungie cords to keep the sway bar swinging down. This keeps the bar up as far as it can go and never had any problems

I've been driving with no sway bars on my jeep since I can remember. The front sway bar is there just never connected, I just leave it hanging there.

Did this today, love it! So quick and easy! I must've got lucky because i didn't have to press out the bolts, slid right out. I used 1/2'' thick and 2 1/2'' long pins. Thanks for the idea! Also made velcro straps to hold the swaybar up when not in use.

i just took the nut off and cut the heads off and cut the bushings off my rear one that was already out and then put that on with some washers and used the impact gun to run the nut back on and it pulled the bolt right threw and out the other side simple!! and quick the longest was taking the nut back off and cutting the head off the bolt!! but it worked like a charm!!
