7x6 headlight Projector Build
as you guys know our jeeps lack of space to use this type of lights so when buying you have to be careful which model of projector lens you buy i choose one from ebay supercheap for only 65 us and it fit quite right i used my old headlights which i also got on ebay for about 32 us ill give you the links,,
so , the process is practically the same, you carefully disassemble the headlight cover and place the projector inside as i show on pics and then you need to bolt the bulb socket with an adapter that comes on the projectors box an then place the bulb , what really make it easier for me was that this headlights kind of came with a smaller screen inside so i took it off and then placed the projector...

as you can see the back of the headlight has a big hole in which there is no place to hold the projector or the bulb , so i cut the bulb holder from the other piece of the headlight and then bolt the h4 adapter that came with the projector an that way i could place the bulb, i put some silicon arround , then the rubber cover of the back of headlight, i had to grind a little bit the metal base of the headlight so the headlight could pass by i sand the chrome part of the headlight to paint it flat black so i could look nicer, i conected the angel eye of the projector from the corner light and the hid form its ballast and thats pretty much it.

here are the pics of the base of the bulb placed on headlights this is what it looked like and you put some silicon around it and then the headlight cover over it and you can use a tie rack to keep it there

yes , as i stated before i had to grind the metal base a little bit to make the hole wider but it will depend on the type of modification you make....

those are sold on ebay too , thats just a led strip you have to open the corner lamp and put the strip on it i got inspired on the escalade headlamp which uses some leds just like that , below are the links of the strips. i used the 12 cm one but i recomend that you use the one on the second line link , those dont come on small sizes but can be cut , and are thinner than the ones that i used

These are lows only correct? I'm working on trying to mount some projectors I snagged for 20 bucks, and then putting on some good driving lights for the high beams. I just need a housing to mount them in or I may just do a round head light.

yes, hid projector comes with a solenoid inside that opens a little piece of metal, the one that makes the cutout and then you have the hi beam , remember that to do this you need to have single beam hid bulb , i stole a thread from some page so you can check it out...
