94 XJ - New Project
Heres my new project. 94 XJ 4.0 AX-15. I had to sell my 96 XJ due to being laid off and excessive credit card debt. I am back to work and now debt free. So I figured I deserved another Jeep project lol
Here it is on the night I picked it up. Had to tow it with my new Half Ton . Sold the 01 CTD for the same reason (debt).
I picked this thing up for 500 bux. Its a one owner Jeep. The guy gave it to his daughter and she hit a ditch (thats her story any way)
I will start tearin the damaged parts off and I will get more pics up of that as I go.
As far as plans go. 4.5" coils, gonna make my own long arms for the front, I am going to run 3.5" leafs in the rear along with a .75" shackle. Gonna sit on the same 33" TSL's that I had on my 96.
Well I had some pics of the damage, but I cant get the computer to save them from my cell phone. So heres what I got from the digital camera.
Welded the broken door hinge back on (Flux-core)
Got all the damaged parts stripped off. Got most of the body panels
I needed. Still need a driver door and driver rear door window

Decided to rip that old nasty carpet out. I did find sum rust, I am not too worried about it. I will just use some fiberglass and patch it up, the herculine the whole interior.
Installed a Hurst shifter. Factory shifter was broken off somehow.
I am going to run the Corbeau Baja SS seats. Got a long way to go for that step

Picked this up for $150. 4.10 lsd
Progress actually stopped before I started to tear the jeep down, because I wanted to fix the barn up so I had a better place to work. Lined the walls with ply wood and build a nice big work bench. Then moved all my tools back in.

Control arms: RE Superflex bushings, JKS Johnny Joints, 2" 1/4" wall tubing. 34.25" eye to eye
I was going to make the UCA, but after totaling everything up I needed to make them, it wasnt too far off from buying a set. So I am going with the rustys uca's and also a track bar and frame mount. I should be getting that stuff hopfully soon. I got the 4.5" coils sitting around collecting dust.

Now onto the leaf springs. My plan was to purchase a set of Rustys 3.5" packs, but after reading up about timmays ******* packs. I decided to go that route. I already had the blazer springs laying around so why not.
Hopfully I dont get anymore lift than 4" out of these packs.

Havent done the upper links yet. My plan was to fab them myself but for about 30 bucks more I can buy them already made from rustys. The UCA should be here hopfully by the end of the week
