Default another tube door idea

so i just finished taking my doors off the front and after some wheeling and high speed on road driving id like to have a little more than just a large hole in my jeep haha.

my tube bender is out of commission at the moment so im limited.

im thinking about either finding some s10 blazer tire carriers, ive seen it done with them.

or possible rigging some TJ tube doors, my friend will give them to me.

has anybody tried this with TJ doors before??

ive held soft doors up to mine from a yj and there would be pretty close and could be modified easily to fit. <-------- if that helps

I went with the spare tire carriers myself and am very happy with them.

They were from late 90's chevy s10 blazers. They were really easy to make. I bought 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 angle to use for the hinge and that's what the tire carrier is welded to. I really don't have any better pics of the hinge right now. But it's just the angle with little tabs on the inside with 1/4 steel dowel rod as the hinge pins.

The latch and the handle were reused from the tire carrier. I just moved them to where I needed. And I needed to make the rod that connects them. The angled bar on it was just moved from where it was originally. I just stuck it there because I thought it looked good there.

Here's a couple more pics.
