I like how you have the 8274 mounted low, and the styling is nice. The section in front of the winch is what sticks out as off scale.
Take a look at a Hanson.. step it down and it would blend better.

I agree as well.. And if you werent worried about looking pretty couldnt you cut the grill and move the winch that much closer to the cooling package? I dont plan to run the stock radiator in mine much longer.. I will make a larger opening for the cooling of the LSx swap and thought i could scoot the winch back and make the front that much shorter??
Just a thought

Thanks alot for all of your posts I am gonna look into possibly making a few changes to down size it a little, it is just hard not to make it bulky especially with the 8274 work horse. It is such a big winch. Gonna weld it all up today, hopefully I can find some lights. I just really want it to look good but still perform well. Like a tuxedo T-Shirt, its like i am formal but here to party!!!!! LOL
I also got a hoop out of 2 inch pipe bent yesterday, it looks awsome.

Yeah, its a great looking bumper but approach angle has been hurt a little.. Great looking fab work though.. Those winches are huge but man they are tough and you can get any part you need for one should anything ever go wrong..
I personally thought about making a similar bumper but with a reese hitch mount and wire both ends up so that i can move my winch and pull from either end.. That way i can tuck the bumpers up close to the body and still have winching capabilities.. I have more 00 wire than you can shake a stick at, and quick connects at my disposal so.. Why not right??
I have been trying to work out a kind of spring loaded handle to use for a pin mechanism so that i could tuck the reese mount flush with the bumper face and have a handle on top of the bumper.. push handle over slide hitch or winch in, release the handle and it slides the pin into place?? get the idea??

Incredible work man! I wish I could weld, and have the fab skills guys like you have, I'm jealous minus the winch, how much money do you think you have in materials all together in that badboy?
