BigC9164 I like the heat shield idea! I bought a cheap system on ebay for $45 (for my 97 cherokee) and i used a piece of wood to hold up the intake because it came with no mounting. I think I'll make a heat shield when I get some spare time... Do you think it will make that much of a difference though? Thanks

 

I like what your'e doing by taking your time with it. All I did was a K&N drop in filter and about 50-60 one inch holes all over.(not kidding) It looks like swiss cheese.

 

are you talking about holes in the filter? if so why?

 

im sure he means the airbox.
