$20 says it folds right over on something you actually need a stinger for. I don't know when it happened, but some how tacking a u-shaped tube on top of a "bumper" labels it a stinger. I call it, exactly what you're currently using it for, a hook rest. If it did some how hold (we'll say its 3/16" wall and passes through that rect. tubing) it's gonna peal those mounts from the front of your uni-body.

"A" for effort : "F" for product quality. sorry bud.
Well why don't you tell me how to make it better instead of just saying how stupid and s****y it is.. I mean I'm only 16 I don't know what I'm doing and its my first car so what do you think I should do about the "stinger"

why does age always come up? just because your a kid we need to wipe your rear end? if you look carfully at pictures of stingers that are properly made then you will see what it needs. however there are plenty of for looks only stingers out there like yours. nothing wrong with that just needs more tie ins and that bumper needs more bracing too. your not going to get far if you get all defensive everytime someone get critical with you.

Dude, age has nothing to do with fabrication skills. There's a 12 year old around here (he may be 13 now) that built his own Chero-buggy. He had some help and guidance along the way, but about halfway through the build he was doing it solo. Everything on there is pure beef and he designed it all.

Do some research and look at how the "big companies" tie their bumpers into the unibody. There's a reason everybody does it the same way.

On a final note, I'm only 17, yet I'm building my own bumper in the next little while with scraps I have laying around, and I guarantee it won't rip off. Proper design goes a long way.

Nobody is flaming you, we just don't want to see a jeep get hurt from your negligence.

First off I did say it looked "*****ty or stupid". I also gave you some notion of what you could possibly do, inside this bumper build, and then highlighted where the next issue would be. Don't get all butt hurt buddy; you posted this build.

If you really want advice on how to build a functional stinger, look at my bumper build. THAT'S a functional stinger.
